FEATURES

Game supported by the latest available version:

42 Games, 81 Demo Types

AVA = Auto-Version Adaptation
Gives Seismovision the ability to down grade the game to play an older demo type. This is not always required by all games or demo types.

M-AVA = Manual-AVA
Gives you the ability to manually down grade a game version so you can join older servers or manually view old demos. If AVA is not supported, automatically M-AVA is also not supported.

    • Save and Load play lists.
    • Easily Drag 'n Drop demos into the play list editor from Explorer or the Desktop.
  • Updating
    • Easily keep up-to-date with the Seismovision Update System
    • Critical updates are automatically selected when checking for available updates
    • Can also be setup to use a HTTP proxy
  • Manually down grade your game version
    • Only supported by certain AVA supported games (view the table above)
  • Demo Playing
    • There are many ways to play a demo using Seismovision
    • Double-Clicking
      • You can play a demo from almost any resource, such as over a network or a compressed archive. Seismovision copies the demo to the game installation, so even when the network connection is interrupted or the demo is moved, you can still continue viewing your demo.
    • Right-Clicking and selecting 'Play Demo'
    • Adding it to a play list
  • File Associations
    • Demo extensions are automatically registered during installation to the games you have selected.
    • Right-click on a demo to gain more features not available through the standard interface such as demo compression (Quake 4). You can also launch Seismovision from the right-click menu or add the demo to a play list.
    • The Right-Click menu also give you the ability to change the mod or config on the fly
  • Special demo specific support
    • Support for playing demos on a minimum-install of Quake 3 Arena (requires CD)
    • Demo compression for Quake 4 demos
    • Demo conversion for Quake 3 Arena demos
    • Automatic and smart mod detection for Quake 4 net demos.
    • Demo scanner for Quake 4 to query list of files required for demo play back.
    • .IWD Check function for Call of Duty 2.
  • Configuration
    • Each and every demo type can be individually configured to suit your needs.
      • Every demo type can point to a different installation but can also all point to one to suit your needs
      • Use its own configuration file for visual display or demo controls. Useful for viewing old demos with old school graphics
        • Many games come with a set of predefined configs with visual display options such as Low Detail and High Detail.
        • Most games also have a special 'movie' config for creating game videos. Read in the documentation for more information.
      • Select a different mod for every demo type
      • Use additional command line parameters
    • All these settings can be exported and imported into Seismovision.
    • Each user account on your PC has its own Seismovision configuration file. Making it easy to use in a multi-user environment. Seismovision requires Administrative privileges to run.
  • Other small features
    • The amount of demos played and time wasted is measured and can be viewed in the 'About' box.
    • Launch a game directly from Seismovision
    • When a game is moved or deleted, Seismovision will show the game in a different colour on the main menu. Green - All is good, Yellow - Not configured and Red - Configured but the game path is invalid or incorrect. This way, configurations problems can be identified with ease.
  • Technical Support
    • Seismovision comes with a HTML help file with all settings and features explained. Easily accessible by pressing F1.
    • If the help file is not enough, you can contact the developer over E-mail/ICQ (#118-162-186) or the message board for assistance (http://www.seismovision.net)
    • Game and features will be updated as long there is an interest and I have the time to do so.
    • A quality product from Africa!
