The Main Menu Guide
This guide introduces you to the main menu of Seismovision 3.
1. Open Seismovision 3
Double click on the Seismovision icon on the desktop. There are many ways to open Seismovision, this is not covered in this guide.
2. Interface Explained
1 - Minimize
Hides Seismovision to the task bar. Click on
the taskbar item to
unhide.
2. Close
Closes Seismovision. Same as the 'Close' button
marked with 9.
3 - Version Information.
Non-BETA versions will have version numbers such as v3.0.486. BETA versions will
have dates here.
4 - Demo type status display list
This list shows
all demo types supported by Seismovision. Lines marked in yellow are not
configured, lines in red are miss-configured (such as bad game paths or
uninstalled games) and green lines show the demo type has been correctly
configured.
5 - Scroll bar for display list
Use the scroll bar
to to see the lines out of display. You can move it up and down or drag.
6 - Play List Editor
Opens the play list editor.

7 - Options Menu
Opens the Options menu where all
settings of demo types and Seismovision can be set.
8 - About
Opens the About box displaying contact
and credit information. Here you can also view your demo statistic (amount of
demos played and time wasted).
9 - Close
Closes Seismovision.
3. Extra Options
You can gain extra options by right-clicking on a demo type on the status display. The first menu items that appears shows the game name and has otherwise no function. Below that you find 'Launch Game', when the line shows green, you can use this function to launch the game and Seismovision closes. 'Refresh' updates all demo type states. The 'Convert to' function is only available to a few games (such as Quake 3 Arena). With this function you can manually downgrade your game version. This is also known as M-AVA in Seismovision 3. This function was proven very useful at the WCG 2002 in Korea. At that time the latest version was v1.32 but the Quake 3 played in Korea was still v1.31. Many had to downgrade manually to join the spectating servers, Seismovision made the job easier.
