Tips of the Day

The complete list of all Tips of the Day in Seismovision 3.

This is a 'Tip of the Day' that is shown to you on every start up except when playing demos but you can disable it by un-checking 'Show at next start up'. You can enable it under 'Options'>> 'Seismovision 3' >> 'General' again.

The 'Tip of the Day' gives you useful information and hints in using Seismovision. Click 'Next' for the next tip or close to close this tip.

Did you know that can add demo to a play list in more that one way?

>> Using the 'Demos' >> 'Add' menu and then selecting a demo in the play list editor.

>> Drag and Drop from the desktop or Windows Explorer.

>> Double-Clicking on a demo when the play list editor is already open will also add a demo to the play list.

Only demos of the same type can be added to the play list unless stated otherwise.

Seismovision does not support play lists for all games. For instance Quake World does not support it. Seismovision allows you have only one demo in the play list and denies you from adding more. You can also only have one type of demo in the play list. There are some exceptions such as Quake 3 Arena where you can add dm_66, dm_67 and dm_68 into the same play list.

Each user has its own config file in Seismovision which is stored in the Seismovision '\User Settings' directory with the user name as file name. To manage your configs, go to 'Options' >> 'Seismovision 3' >> 'Config Management'. You can import/export/delete/transform or restore defaults.

You can use the Seismovision Update System to keep Seismovision up-to-date. You start the update program by either going to 'Options' >> 'Seismovision 3' >> 'Update' or by using the shortcut provided in the start menu.

The downloaded updates are stored in the 'Update' directory under Seismovision and they are not deleted by uninstall. The updates downloaded by the update system are the exact same ones found on the Seismovision web-site (www.seismovision.net).

This feature is only available to registered users.

You think you have found a bug? Contact Kevin at <[email protected]> and specify your exact problem with some details about your PC such as CPU, graphics card, operating system, etc.. If possible always send the Seismovision logs along as well. They are found in the Seismovision '\Logs' directory. Logging is automatically enabled when you first installed Seismovision. No personal information is stored in the log files. Open them in Notepad and see for yourself.
